VVBGC (Växjö Värnamo Biomass Gasification Center) has now placed an order for the planning and technical analysis work required to reconstruct the Pilot Plant with SWECO PIC AB – a subsidiary of SWECO. The total value of the order is approximately 18 million SEK.

The contract was signed by Sune Bengtsson (Managing Director of VVBGC) and Jarl Brandt (Managing Director of SWECO PIC AB) on April 4, 2007.

The reconstruction is stopped until a new economic solution is decided.

The Swedish Energy Agency has released SEK 14 million (around EURO 1.3 million) of the earlier allocated funds for VVBGC's Biomass Gasification Project to be used, until September 30, 2009, to cover the company costs, office and facility, and the cost of engineering and negotiations with the potential partners.
